Body Technique
This course combines the three critical elements of the art of Bowen to maximise results, to be aware of what needs to be done and the expected results:
Tom Bowen started to develop, what we now call the Bowen Technique, in the early 1950’s and is now used by many practitioners all around the world. It is apparent from many of the Bowen moves that Tom used many Polarity positions and we therefore include some of the original work developed and documented by Dr. Randolph Stone.
We know that the best results are achieved by what we would commonly call intuition and we therefore include some basic Kinesiology (muscle testing) to enhance the overall techniques that we call BOM (Body Operating Manual).
The body has many reset triggers that are utilised with this modality and it naturally stimulates a return to balance. This may take several days after a treatment as we allow the body to adjust in its own time period. Long lasting results are often achieved because the muscles, ligaments and tendons will reposition the skeletal structure which may take up to six days to process.
The bulk of our bodily actions are performed by the subconscious and our reset moves act as triggers for the body to return to an inherent ‘blue print’ of health. We need to avoid over-stimulating the skin, so it is critical we avoid sliding with these moves (as with the more traditional bodywork techniques). Our signals work beneath the muscles on what are called fibulae. These high speed communication routes request instructions from the brain which in turn re-evaluates and resets. The body needs time to make changes and this is why we allow time between moves, and often withdraw ourselves from the direct energy of our clients. The space between the moves also allows many clients to reach a deeper relaxation that enhances the overall healing process. Some of the moves act as ‘blocks’ to bounce other moves off. These will take at least a minute to install and will have to be topped up after about ten minutes.
- Level 1: Natural Body Reset Moves
This module covers the basic natural inherent reset moves that act as the basic presets for preparing the bodies for healing. - Level 2: From Kidneys to Knees
This module revues module one then concentrates on rebalancing the kidneys, upper legs and knees. - Level 3:Respiratory and Urinary Solutions
After reviewing previous moves, we move on to respiratory issues and unitary solutions. - Level 4: Breathing, Lymphatic & Advanced Respiratory Moves
Checking on previous moves then concentrating on breathing, lymphatic and advanced respiratory moves. - Level 5: Shoulders, Arms & Wrists
Reviewing levels one to four then including shoulder, arms and wrists. - Level 6: Knees, Lower Legs & Feet
Updating previous levels then adding moves from knees to feet. - Level 7: Advanced Moves for Chronic Complaints
Reviewing previous levels then adding advanced techniques for chronic complaints.
