According to Randolph Stone, the founder of Polarity Therapy, the intent
of Polarity Therapy is to relax the body and therefore the mind. Receptivity
to the changes is possible when energy is allowed to move. The practitioner
acknowledges a connection with the heart, which is characterised by the
art and spirit of the work. This sensitivity is carried into exploring
modes of touch, both non-verbally as physical touch and verbally by helping
clients become consciously in touch with themselves and life issues.
